Demian Brown Toronto Psychotherapist

Brown Psychotherapy & Associates are a dedicated team of mental health professionals who provide quality psychological consultation, assessment, therapy, and treatment to adults, adolescents, couples, organizations, children, and their families in need of guidance, mental healthcare, and counselling services. Each professional is highly trained and qualified in their areas of expertise, holds appropriate credentials or licensure, follows guidelines for evidence-based practice. All therapists have the skills and expertise to provide multiple modes of treatment including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Basic EMDR, humanistic, and psychodynamic approaches, but also many other forms of treatment uniquely matched to the client’s preferences and needs.

Alyssa James MSW, RSW

I’m an experienced Addictions Group Facilitator working in areas of family support, residential care, residential intensive treatment, and second stage housing. I’m completing EMDR training.

Demian Brown MSW, RSW 

I have been in practice since 2003 and hold a Masters Degree in Social Work from University of Toronto specializing in Addictions with further specialized training in CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Therapy and EMDR Basic training.

Dr. Mills

I’m affiliated with and an Associate of Mills Psychology. Dr. Mills provides me with clinical supervision when I request it. Dr.Jon Mills Jon Mills, Ph.D., Psy.D., C.Psych., ABPP Ph.D., Psy.D. C. Psych., APBB is a Canadian philosopher, psychoanalyst, and clinical psychologist. His principle theoretical contributions have been in the philosophy of the unconscious, a critique of psychoanalysis, Philosophical Psychology value inquiry, and the philosophy of culture. His clinical contributions are in the areas of attachment Psychology, trauma, and psychic structure. Mills is Professor of Psychology & Psychoanalysis at the Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto and runs a mental health corporation in Ontario, Canada. He earned his Ph.D. in philosophy Vanderbilt University and his Psy.D. in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology-Chicago and was a Fulbright Scholar at the Departments of Philosophy at the University of Toronto and York University. He is a Diplomate, Fellow, and is board certified in Psychoanalysis and Clinical Psychology with the American Board of Professional Psychology and is a registered psychologist with the College of Psychologists in Ontario.
